From the slopes of Mount Kenya in the Kirinyaga county, the Kamwangi PB (peaberry) is a vibrant, fruit-driven Kenyan coffee. Peaberries are a natural mutation where only one seed develops inside the coffee cherry instead of the usual two, resulting in a smaller, rounder bean that many roasters prize for its concentrated, intense flavor.

This lot is grown from a blend of Kenya's most celebrated varietals — SL 28, Batian, and Ruiru 11 — and processed using Kenya's signature double-washed method, which produces exceptional clarity and brightness. In the cup, you'll find bold black currant acidity, sweet pomegranate depth, and a lingering honey finish that balances the fruit beautifully.

Kenyan coffees are among the most complex in the world, and we roast the Kamwangi PB to highlight that complexity — light enough to preserve the fruit-forward character, developed enough to bring out the honey sweetness. Roasted fresh at our Eugene, Oregon roastery.
