A Small Roaster With a Big Heart

Tailored Coffee Roasters was born in 2014 with a simple belief: coffee should taste like where it comes from. Founded in Eugene, Oregon, we set out to roast coffees that highlight — rather than hide — the natural character of each bean. Over the past decade, that idea has grown into two cafes, a loyal community of coffee lovers, and a reputation for some of the best specialty coffee in the Pacific Northwest.

We're proudly independent and locally owned. Every bag of coffee we sell is roasted by our team right here in Eugene at our downtown roastery on 5th Ave. There are no shortcuts, no mass production — just small-batch roasting with careful attention to every detail.

Our Roasting Style

We roast in the Scandinavian tradition: light, clean, and focused on clarity. While many roasters push coffee dark to create body and bitterness, we take a different approach. Our light roasts are designed to be sweet, juicy, and complex — letting you taste the blueberry notes of an Ethiopian natural, the caramel sweetness of a Colombian washed, or the bright citrus of a Kenyan AA.

This style of roasting requires exceptional green coffee to begin with, which is why sourcing is at the heart of everything we do.

How We Source Our Coffee

We source high-quality, fresh-crop coffees from producers around the world. We work with importers who share our commitment to transparency, fair pricing, and long-term relationships with farmers. Our coffees come from regions including Ethiopia, Colombia, Kenya, Guatemala, and beyond — and our menu rotates with the seasons to ensure you're always drinking coffee at its peak freshness.

We believe great coffee starts at the farm. By paying premium prices for exceptional lots, we support the farmers and communities who make our work possible.

Our Cafes

We have two locations in Eugene, Oregon:

Downtown — 291 E 5th Ave
Our original home and active roastery. Grab a seat, watch us roast, and enjoy a cup brewed from beans that came out of the roaster that same week. Open Monday through Friday, 8am to 3pm.

Campus — 686 E 13th Ave
Steps from the University of Oregon, our 13th Ave cafe is a favorite study spot and gathering place for students, faculty, and neighbors. Same great coffee, same welcoming vibe.

More Than Coffee

Our menu goes beyond the cup. We serve housemade avocado toast, s'more toast, seasonal granola bowls, and pastries — all designed to pair perfectly with our coffee. We also offer unique drinks like our Cafe Tonic and a lineup of iced and blended options.
